Developed first ever Sanitation Policy for State of Azad Jammu & Kashmir in collaboration with Public Health Engineering Department, marking a major advancement in regional environmental and public health standards.

In collaboration with the Public Health Engineering Department, Muzaffarabad, we have developed the first-ever Sanitation Policy for the State of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. This pioneering initiative marks a significant leap forward in our commitment to improving public health, environmental sustainability, and waste management across the region.

The newly devised policy offers a comprehensive approach to sanitation, addressing key areas such as waste management, environmental protection, and infrastructure development. It sets out a clear vision and mission, guiding principles aligned with Pakistan Vision 2025, and strategic measures to enhance governance and community ownership. Notably, it incorporates innovative solutions for waste-to-energy production, advanced wastewater treatment, and sustainable financing.

With this policy, AJ&K is poised to set new standards in sanitation practices, promoting a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient environment for all its residents. Stay tuned as we embark on this transformative journey toward a better and more sustainable future for Azad Jammu & Kashmir!
