Study on Vulnerable Population of Azad Jammu & Kashmir
Collaborated with the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (Social Welfare Department) and UNDP Pakistan to assess service gaps and needs of vulnerable populations through a state-wide survey, informing policies to enhance social inclusion and equity
We partnered with the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (Social Welfare Department) and UNDP Pakistan to assess the needs of vulnerable populations in AJ&K, including transgender persons, persons who use drugs, persons with disabilities, widows, and the elderly. Conducted from November 2020 to April 2021, this state-wide household survey identified service gaps and provided crucial insights into the challenges faced by these groups. The study’s findings aim to inform policies and interventions, promoting social inclusion, equity, and economic stability. This initiative supports the development of a comprehensive social protection system, ensuring targeted responses to the needs of vulnerable populations and contributing to overall community welfare.
